Cause Description:
The mission of the Humane Society of Livingston County is to assist our communities by providing pet adoption services, lost and found assistance, and education on the humane treatment, responsible pet ownership, and overpopulation of companion animals. The HSLC places approximately one hundred animals each month into new loving homes. We provide each cat and dog with quality veterinary care including spaying or neutering, age appropriate vaccines, flea treatment, de-worming, heartworm testing (for dogs), FIV/Feline Leukemia testing (for cats), and micro-chipping. During their time at the shelter they receive bedding, playtime, toys, a cage that is cleaned at least daily, interactive time with staff and volunteers, and dogs receive a minimum of three walks each day. The HSLC is a non-profit independent organization and does not receive funding from any government agency or any other animal organization. Thank you for your interest in helping homeless pets!
