SHA Development Foundation is a subsidary of the Syracuse Housing Authority(SHA). Syracuse Housing Authority is a public housing authority that provides decent, safe, and affordable housing to the low income population of the City of Syracuse. SHA owns, operates, and manages over 2500 units and houses 8% of the low-income population in the city. Residents include elderly and disabled individuals and working families. Income gained by the SHA Development Foundation in connection with this site will be used to assist SHA in achieving both its mission as a land lord, as well as to provide services to residents that improve the quality of life for residents of public housing. A few examples of these services include: 1. Social Work Services 2. Job Training and Employment Services 3. Youth Services 4. Support and Educational Program for Grandparents and other relatives raising children SHA Development Foundation is 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.
