Cause Description:
Columbus Rainbow Assembly #172 is part of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Our members are girls from ages 11 to 20 and are of all races and religions. Rainbow is not a religion but requires a belief in a supreme being. We teach leadership, responsiblity, organizational and social skills among other lessons. We are over 70 years old and are international. Rainbow was founded in Oklahoma as an organization for the daughters (and their friends) of Master Masons (Masonic Lodge, Shriners, etc). Our International web site is www.iorg.org, the Ohio web site is www.ohiorainbow.org and our own website is http://columbus172.freemason.com/ Funds generated through iGive are used to support our local assembly, provide awards to our members, pay their way to our state convention, and for the many community service projects we participate in. Columbus Assembly is very active in many types of community service, the funds help us help others.
