Elders Share the Arts(ESTA) is an internationally acclaimed community arts organization founded in 1979, dedicated to validating personal histories, diverse traditions, and linking generations and cultures through creativity. Through our unique synthesis of oral histories and the arts, our staff of professional artists works with young and old to transform their life stories into dramatic, visual, and literary presentations; enabling youth to discover their heritage and seniors to realize their legacy. Our touring storytellers and art exhibitions share the life time skills of older artists with communities that have little access to art. We work in community settings: senior centers, schools, churches, nursing homes throughout New York while conducting trainings for groups and professionals world-wide.
