The Montgomery County Stroke Association, Inc. (MCSA) is a non-profit (501-c-3) charitable organization run by and for stroke survivors and their caregivers. There are three chapters in Montgomery County, Maryland (a suburb of Washington, DC). The MCSA provides monthly stroke education programs, peer support and professionally-led support groups, computer-aided speech-language therapy groups, periodic social/recreational activities, 24/7 telephone support (301-681-6272), an informative website (www.mcstroke.org), a monthly newsletter,and much more. There are no membership dues or mailing list fees. Meetings are free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted and are essential to our survival as we approach our 25th anniversary in 2006.
