Founded in 1972, La Raza Galería Posada's mission has been to advance, celebrate, and preserve the art and culture of Chicano, Latino, and Native peoples of this land for present and future generations. LRGP is the oldest multi-cultural arts center and resource of its kind in the greater Sacramento Valley Region, preserving its rich and diverse cultural traditions through year-round art exhibitions with concurrent art workshops, poetry readings and lectures, among others. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all of its programming and events are open to the general community, striving to provide almost all programming to be free of charge to all, especially for a large portion of our more than 35,000 annual patrons who come from many racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
