Since its founding in 1979, the New Israel Fund has worked to strengthen democracy and advance social justice in Israel. NIF awards grants to Israeli NGOs working to safeguard civil and human rights, advance the status of women, bridge social and economic gaps, promote Arab-Jewish equality and coexistence, foster tolerance and religious pluralism, pursue environmental justice, and increase government accountability.
