Garments of Praise is a free thrift store that carries an inventory of gently used clothes of all types & sizes, dishes, pots and pans, bed linens, books, toys and misc., along with other items. Anyone who finds our door is welcome to take whatever they and their families need. Many Orange County residents are unable to provide even the most basic necessities for themselves, and the ones they love. This includes clothing. Children need winter coats when the months turn cold, shoes when it’s time to go to school. Parents need suitable clothing when interviewing for employment, or to wear in the workplace. Infants need warm clothes that fit, and blankets to cuddle in. If someone’s home is devastated by fire, they lose almost everything, and need replacements of some of the things they lost. This is where Garments of Praise is able to fill the gap. We are able to provide all of these things and more to anyone in need. We occupy a 4,000 square ft. facility and are able to keep a huge inventory of widely varied items. Garments of Praise is staffed by 10 dedicated volunteers, and there are no paid positions. We serve 3,000 to 5,000 residents a year. We are located at 573 S. Indiana Ave., in French Lick, IN
