Inspired by the power of coalitions, MWLC was formed in 2001 by five mainstream women’s organizations for the exciting purpose of increasing the number of progressive Missouri women elected at all levels of government in our state -- especially the state legislature. Missouri Women’s Leadership Coaltion is now a seven-member coalition that cooperates with other like-minded organizations. Coalition organizations are: American Association of University Women; Business and Professional Women; Greater Kansas City Women’s Political Caucus; Missourians for Choice; Missouri NOW; Missouri Women’s Network; and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Kansas & Mid-Missouri
