Cause Description:
We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization in the Franklin County area in Virginia. Our goal is to mentor the youth, high risk and underprivileged. We would like the opportunity to work with the community to be a positive influence. The center will provide educational as well as recreational opportunities for our youth. We will have a safe place with structured activities during non-school hours and provide skills through education to help our youth transition from school to work. The center will teach children to give back through community services which will enhance a child's self esteem, good behavior, respect and confidence. One of our prime goals is to educate about the danger and serious results of alcohol/drug abuse. We are committed and dedicated to helping parents, educators and other professionals in the community to maximize the effectiveness of our youth to become contributing member of society. We are asking for any type help that you can give. We are currently doing fundraisers and would like to know if you have any information on foundations or organizations that would give grants to these programs. Also looking for funds to purchase a building. We are very excited about making a difference in a child's life. Thanks for any information or help you can give.
