Cause Description:
Nicholas is a 4 1/2 year old with an autism disorder. He has Sensory Integration Disfunction, Anxiety, Sleep Disorder, Speech Delay as well as social ad self help delays. He is currently receiving Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, a special gluten free diet, and is in a special education preschool classroom. However his diet and therapies are very expensive. So any income generated from your purchases would be used strictly for his therapy. Autism is effectling 1 in 166 children currently, with 10% chance to effect another sibling. HIs older brother and younger sister have both been diagnosed with Pervasive Developemental Disorder or PDD which is just another form of AUTISM. They are both in Occupational Therapy as well. She also needs Speech Therapy which is not covered by our insurance. The sooner an autistic child receives the therapy they need the less therapy they will need in the long run and the more likely they will be able to function well in society.
