Cause Description:
MYHA formerly the Wheaton Ice Hockey Club, has been in operation since 1963. We are a private, non-profit organization; we receive no funding from and have no affiliation with Montgomery County. Our organization -- coaches, managers, and administrators -- are heavily dependent on volunteers. We are one of the largest programs in the Washington metropolitan area and on the East Coast with over 1000 players on the ice last season. Our Club operates hockey programs in: Instructional, House (recreation), Girls Hockey, Travel (Tier II) and Tier I (the highest level of competition for players under 18). We are members of the Capital Beltway Hockey League (CBHL) and the Delaware Valley Hockey League (DVHL) and the Eastern Elite Amateur Hockey League (EEAHL) Tier I League.
