Cause Description:
A non-profit educational organization which carries on the conservation work of author/naturalist Thornton W. Burgess. The mission is "to inspire reverence for wildlife and concern for the natural environment. This is done through operation of the Burgess Museum and the Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich, MA. To carry out its educational mission, the soiety employs a staff of trained educators who offer programs throughout the year. School programs serve many public and private schools each year. Staff works closely with school teachers in developing their classroom science curriculum.
