Bill Hicks Wildlife Foundation
You may know that the late great Bill Hicks was a comedian, philosopher, social critic, and a Texan. You may not know that he was a man of great love of life and of nature, and took upon himself the burden of guilt and remorse for the loss of habitat of many indigenous wild animals.
The foundation is a not-for-profit organization that functions solely on the efforts of volunteers and private contributions, it has never and has no plans to seek any form of government subsidy. The funds raised are used to finance the purchase and construction of caging/housing for animals, pay for medical treatments and supplies, fund trials of new and experimental medicines and therapies, cover costs of annual vaccines and necessary permits for rehabiltators and fund the training and set-up supplies for new rehabiltators.
All current Hicks foundation volunteers are also "rehabbing" for Wild Life Rescue and readily share
information and resources.
