Chekia Dog Rescue / Heartbandits; S Ca Chapter

Ridgecrest, California

Cause Description:
Chekia rescues dogs primarily from the euthanasia rooms of Southern California shelters. Optimum quality care, training, and nutrition are an important part of our Rescue, and every dog is treated as a family member. Adoption is a process of applying, qualifying, and bonding with the individual dog. Dogs are not taken to "adoption events" and passed along like loaves of bread. They must feel comfortable leaving here with an adopter or they don't go. Chekia is based on thirty years of experience with rescue.
