LOVE INC of Summit County is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting to helping those in need in Summit County. Love INC exists to mobilize area people and local churches to reach out to a hurting and needy world in the Name and Love of Christ. There are many individuals living with severe needs in the Summit County community that no social service agency is able to serve. Love INC does not seek to replace or duplicate what human service agencies are doing well, but only to supplement and complement the work of those agencies. It is our hope that by having a church volunteer reach out to them in their time of need, the poor, elderly and disabled in our community may understand how much God loves them. Love INC does not discriminate on the basis of religion, race, or sexual orientation when providing services to clients referred to the Love INC ministry. No client is required to convert to Christianity in order to receive service from Love INC church volunteers. Although Love INC volunteers are willing to pray with a client and may ask if the client wishes someone to pray with them, no clients are required to pray in order to receive services. LOVE INC of Summit County relies on donations. The program is funded by the generosity of friends of Love INC.
