Cause Description:
Around-n-Over is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington. Using human powered journeys, this organization will produce news and educational content about the journey, and use these to inspire school children to realize their own dreams. Our first project is a human powered circumnavigation of the world by rowing the oceans. On the same journey, we were inspired to climb the highest summits on six different continents in a manner in keeping with the legacy of late Göran Kropp, the Swedish man who bicycled from Stockholm to Nepal to climb Everest in 1996. We called it the Six Summits Project.

Our mission is to spread the word about our human powered endeavors. We want to inspire children and adults alike that dreams can come true with due diligence, that tragedies can be an inspiration to reach for greater goals, and that occasional setbacks in life can offer a window into a new world, to a different plane of existence.

Around-n-Over will use the Six Summits Project already in progress, a multi-year human-powered self-propelled around the world journey, as the foundation for its content prepared for education and inspiration. We want to take everyone along on our journeys, however vicariously, turning the same journeys into opportunities to learn, to enjoy and to allow one's self to be captivated.
