The Liver Foundation of Central Texas, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides community awareness of chronic Hepatitis C and funding to patients who are unable to afford medical treatment for Hepatitis C. Hepatitis C affects approximately 4.5 to 5 million people in the United States, many of whom have no funding for treatment. We currently have a treatment that offers complete remission from the disease, so treatment is important.
