Cause Description:
web-based, anonymous, peer-to-peer suicide counseling service known as Life Line Peer Support Volunteers, or LLPSV. Our services, offered through a combination of message boards and live chat rooms, include peer counseling for those considering suicide, referral to professionals, and immediate, one-on-one crisis intervention. LLPSV is a non-profit corporation, staffed entirely by volunteers, including a clinical psychologist. In addition to our site which provides services to the general community, we offer separate boards for teen, LGBT youth, LGBT adults, battered women, and battered men. Each board is lead by a senior administrator, and staffed by volunteer counselors and moderators. Our staff is currently undergoing AAS (American Society of Suicidology) training in an effort to acquire professional certification for both our staff and our service
