Cause Description:
The mission of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) is to advance teaching as an art and a profession. NCCAT uses a residential model to enhance teaching skills and renew the spirit of teaching with North Carolina teachers who have been teaching full time for at least three years. Established in 1985, the center offers more than eighty seminars each year for educators at the pre kindergarten through 12th grade levels. This service is provided free to educators and is supported by donations and funds from the University of North Carolina system. Donations are needed to maintain and expand free continuing education seminar services to North Carolina educators.
