Cause Description:
LABS4RESCUE is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing a new life for rescued or displaced Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Mixes. We are not a traditional animal shelter but a group of individuals from several states who collaborate to save labs from high kill shelters. The majority of shelters in the South are overwhelmed with purebred and Lab mixes and their chances of survival are dismal with many only receiving an average of three days to be adopted. All Labs4Rescue dogs are veterinary screened, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, started on heart worm prevention and receive treatment for any medical/health conditions - all funded entirely by Labs4Rescue volunteers and donations. The dogs are then transported to New England and placed in loving foster homes for nurturing and further evaluation until they find their forever home.
