Cause Description:
DVSC is one of the first agencies to offer victim services such as emergency shelter, hotline counseling, and court advocacy in Pennsylvania. The agency also offers transitional housing and supportive services to homeless women and their children. Training for other professionals, community education, and workplace violence prevention also are available to groups and individuals. The DVSC hotlines serve Luzerne and Carbon Counties; they are staffed by counselor/ advocates 24 hours a day and may be reached by calling 570.823.7312 or 800.424.5600.
