Cause Description:
Tri-State Emergency Communications is an ALL-VOLUNTEER, Non-Profit, 501(c)(3) Association dedicated to providing public service and emergency communications to our community. While we do monitor CB channel 9 for emergencies, we also monitor other designated emergency channels on various bands, including General Mobile Radio Service, Family Radio Service (UHF band) and Amateur Radio, and are also licensed to operate in the Private Land Mobile Radio Service. However as part of our team design Tri-State is not only involved in emergency communications. With a deep understanding of the dynamics involved in emergency response we are always at the ready to act in a first response role, but our primary and most realistic function is that of the primary responders support team. We have specialized groups within the team that can act as individual response teams or as a complimentary contingent to a mass team deployment. Although radio communications was a basis for formulation of the team we are not a radio club our all-volunteer membership is comprised of and open to Trained Emergency Personnel, Radio, Telecommunications & Data Specialists, Craftsmen, Support and Logistics Specialists as well as Amateur and Public Safety Radio Enthusiasts. Offering services to the public such as Emergency Communication, Search & Rescue Support, Fire Scene Rehab Support and Emergency Lighting and Power to name a few. With such a diverse membership we are able to offer assistance in an emergency or crisis with fully trained and equipped personnel at a moments notice.
