Cause Description:
Sapphire Cats prides itself on matching the personality and needs of the cat to that of its new adoptive owner. We have an incredibly low return rate and we attribute our pre-screening and cat matching in-depth interviews to a 7% overall return rate since our creation. Sapphire Cats is working with other humane groups and with the general public to help control the cat pet overpopulation of Arizona and strives to place its cats in permanent loving homes. Our system is based solely on volunteer-provided foster homes and we provide these volunteers the education and experience to create the best temporary cage free homes to our cats. The work of Sapphire Cats focuses in three main areas: permanent cat adoptions, guiding and educating the public about the importance of spay/neuter and the humane treatment of cats and ensuring stress-free, free roaming and safe temporary foster homes with the volunteering public.
