Christodora offers youth from economically disadvantaged families in New York City a range of challenging educational programs designed to increase their knowledge and understanding of the natural world and to develop the self confidence and leadership skills to pursue their full potential. Christodora was founded in 1897 as a settlement house, providing health care, educational and job training programs and other social services to poor immigrant families. Since 1908 Christodora has been a leader in providing camping, nature and out-door education programs for New York City Youth.
