Established in Chicago by international dance icon Ruth Page in 1970, The Ruth Page Foundation is a private operating foundation committed to the education, promotion, and presentation of dance in Chicago. The Foundation is committed to creating a dance destination in Illinois that provides a home, office space, rehearsal space, performance opportunities, and marketing support for the up-and-coming companies and artists of Chicago’s vibrant dance scene. To this end, The Foundation supports a number of vital initiatives in Chicago: THE RUTH PAGE CENTER FOR THE ARTS; THE RUTH PAGE SUBSIDIZED THEATER AND STUDIO RENTAL PROGRAM; RUTH PAGE IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM; THE RUTH PAGE SCHOOL OF DANCE; THE PRESERVATION AND PRESENTATION OF THE ORIGINAL DANCES CREATED BY RUTH PAGE; THE RUTH PAGE DANCE SERIES; THE RUTH PAGE FESTIVAL OF DANCE AT RAVINIA; and THE RUTH PAGE AWARD.
