Family Planning of Clallam County (FPCC) has been serving Washington's Olympic Peninsulas reproductive healthcare needs for over thirty five years. FPCC is a community leader in youth education and reproductive healthcare services. The mission of FPCC is to assure that all individuals in Clallam County have access to quality healthcare, education, and social services relating to human sexuality and fertility. It is FPCCs conviction that these services empower individuals to make responsible decisions according to their own values. To this end, FPCC provides a variety of fact-based, non-judgmental services. The agency fills a unique niche in the community by providing a vast range of reproductive healthcare and broad prevention education throughout the entire community and is one of the few medical organizations currently accepting new clients. FPCC offers sliding-fee scale healthcare services to women and men. In 2005, over 2,800 clients were served, 84% of which received services free of charge. In addition to clinical services, FPCC offers a wide range of prevention and outreach programs including the Detention Prevention: A Second Chance Program at the Clallam County Juvenile Detention Facility, the Honoring Womens Health Project, the Youth Suicide Prevention Program, the Strong Choices Program, a Resource Area, the Adolescent Support Group Program, Baby-Think-It-Over services, the HIV Reduction Program, Tribal Youth Talking Circles, the Reduction of Obesity in the Family Planning Setting Program, Teen Health Advocates, and sexuality education for parents & guardians. FPCC also provides on-site health education at local middle and high schools, treatment centers (adult & juvenile), the Dream Center for Homeless Youth, the YMCA Y-House, Serenity House, and the Boys & Girls Club.
