EHC collects, preserves and tells the story of Evanston's past through tours of the Charles Gates Dawes House, interactive and engaging museum exhibits, research room and collections, and educational programs. The mission of the Evanston History Center is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and interpret the history of Evanston; to disseminate and provide to the public access to such historical information; and to promote knowledge of the accomplishments of the people of Evanston.
