Cause Description:
FIN rescues animals mainly from kill shelters just before they're euthanised. We get and update their shots, spay and neuter. The animals usually go to foster homes until the right family for the specific animal applies to adopt. We also take in animals that are found left alone when their people move and people that call to let us know they don't want their companions any longer. We also do all of the above with strays that are found wondering after being "dumped" in rural areas. One of our goal's is to build a "no-kill" shelter because it's so hard to find all the foster homes that are needed. We also rescue as many horses and burros from feed lots as possible and other farm animals that are thrown out as a commidity and deemed worthless. No living creature is worthless!
