Cause Description:
Train To End Stroke (TTES) is a team marathon training and fundraising program of the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association. Our mission is to reduce death and disability from stroke by 25% by the year 2010. This year the American Stroke Association will train thousands of walkers and runners across the country to participate in a 26.2-mile marathon or a 13.1-mile half marathon in our Train to End Stroke program. Whether a runner or walker (beginner or advanced), team members will be provided a comprehensive 5-month training program under the guidance of expert and dedicated coaches, mentors, and staff. At the completion of the training and fundraising, participants will travel to an exciting destination to complete their marathon.
