PAL Humane Society was formed in 1993 by a small group who were concerned about the well being of unwanted animals in the Victor Valley. In Feb 1994 we received our 501c3 status. We have grown to an organization providing care, refuge and new homes for stray, abandoned and abused animals. We provide community service through education and helping seniors with their pets with medical care and spay/neuter. In 2009 we started the first High Desert Prison Dog Program at the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center. A second prison program starts in September 2009 at the Federal prison in Victorville. These programs not only save dogs lives but help to rehabilitate inmates and youth at risk by giving them life skills they would otherwise not receive while incarcerated.
