The mission of Thea Bowman House is to provide a safe, nurturing environment to enable culturally diverse children and families to achieve their full potential. The foundation on which Thea Bowman House is built is agape, “unconditional love.” Located in Utica, New York, we offer child daycare, a Universal Pre-K program, and an after-school and teen program for low-income and at risk children. We also run Agape House foster care home and offer advocacy programs geared toward ensuring quality education for young children and an anti-domestic violence program. As of mid-2002 the total number of children in our program was approximately 275.
