Family Counseling Agency of Tucson, Inc. Since 1953, Family Counseling Agency has provided a broad array of services to children, adults and families. Family Counseling Agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc. and licensed as a behavioral healthcare institution by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Behavioral Health Service Agency. All of our services are provided by trained professionals and are available in English and in Spanish. We serve children, adults and families in Pima County, including the greater Tucson metropolitan area, and provide limited services in other areas of Southern Arizona. In 2003, we proudly celebrated over 50 years of providing services to children, youth and families in Pima County. Our Mission Family Counseling Agency provides an array of services designed to enhance the dignity and self-sufficiency of the children, adults and families in our community. Our Core Values Innovation Respect Commitment to Excellence Integrity Our Programs & Services: Counseling - general mental health, employee assistance, school-based and community-based services in individual, group or family sessions. In collaboration with local agencies, we also provide elder counseling through the HIPE program. All counseling services are provided by Master’s level clinicians who are certified by the State of Arizona or in the process of receiving certification. Divorce Recovery - a volunteer based program offering support groups to persons experiencing divorce or separation. Children of Changing Families provides support groups for children whose parents are experiencing, or have experienced, divorce or separation. Domestic Violence Services - individual counseling for women, men and children experiencing domestic abuse. Counseling support groups are available for female victims and male perpetrators. Education for Life - classes and support groups held throughout the year regarding a variety of family and relationship issues such as step families, single-parent families, anger management, parenting skills, and marriage communication skills. Families and Schools Together (FAST) - a prevention program designed to increase protective factors that strengthen family cohesion and enhance academic success in elementary school age children while reducing the risks of future substance abuse, gang involvement, delinquency, and school truancy. Judicial Supervision - a court mandated program that provides neutral supervised visits and exchanges in a safe and comfortable atmosphere for children and non-custodial parents. Senior Companion Program - funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, SCP provides stipends to low-income volunteers over 60 to provide companionship, transportation, and respite services to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to reintroduce clients to the community and reduce their depression and isolation. Services to Older and Disabled Adults - case management, in-home counseling and grocery shopping services for homebound, frail elderly and disabled adults. Teens in Transition - a case management program for homeless and near-homeless teens that provides basic needs such as housing, food and clothing while providing support for youth to finish high school, continue post-high school education and sustain independent living. This program also provides housing and support services for pregnant and parenting youth.
