Cause Description:
The Humanitarian Resource Center of North America has been in operation since 1996, relieving human suffering by working to eliminate the waste of any products or supplies, that may be of use to another, underserved human being in the United States and developing communities world wide. Our services are innovative and visionary. By rescuing materials from waste, we work as an environmental organization. By aligning ourselves with effective human service agencies, we distribute supplies so they may worry less about a tight budget, and concentrate on delivering and improving their services. Lastly, by coordinating with shipping companies, hospitals, corporations and individuals who would otherwise dispose of these supplies, we are fostering corporate responsibility. In the past two years, we have redirected over 2 million dollars of supplies to community organizations who need them. Without HRCNA, these life-saving supplies would have gone to waste.
