The Cardinal Kung Foundation is an advocate for religious freedom in China and works directly for the UNDERGROUND ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH in China which has been under persecution by the Chinese communist government since 1949. Currently, hundreds of Roman Catholic priests, bishops, religious sisters and lay Catholics are still in jails, house arrests or under strict surveillance for worshiping according to their conscience. Cardinal Ignatius Kung was in the communist jail for 32 years. The Roman Catholic Church in China has NO open churches and has no financial support. Please visit our website at www.cardinalkungfoundation.org to learn more about the underground church (about 12 millions loyal Catholics) and the communist government founded "Catholic Patriotic Association" which is the owner of all the open catholic churches in China today.
