FIE&T supports school reform for the 21st Century. Donations are used to provide teacher education and scholarships for disadvantaged youth. The foundation supports model schools and programs that promote K-12 education improvement through the use of modern education theory and practice. The foundation has global interests and is particularly active in impoverished West Alabama communities. Contributions promote systemic reform of public education.
