ALIVE! is the largest private safety net for the needy in the City of Alexandria, addressing both short-term and long-term needs for those less fortunate in our community. ALIVE! serves over 12,000 Alexandrians annually with emergency food; low cost early childhood education and childcare; emergency financial help with rent, utilities, medical care and other critical needs; shelter; and donated furniture and housewares, as well as mentoring and support for at-risk families seeking self-sufficiency. More than 700 volunteers a year help ALIVE! fulfill the mission to put faith and love into action. ALIVE! is Alexandrians helping Alexandrians.
