Racing Thoughts, Inc. was formed in 1995 to support the artistic work of Jane Comfort and Company. Jane Comfort has been choreographing since 1978 and creates challenging dance theater work that casts a clear look at today’s social, psychological and political issues. The company has presented her work to a diverse audience that spans the social and economic spectrum. Racing Thoughts, Inc. was formed for the purposes of stimulating public interest in dance and dance theater as a performing art, to afford the public the opportunity to see performances of choreographic compositions, to encourage the development of dancers and choreographers in general, to interface with communities through direct dialogue that allows for a greater understanding of the artistic process within the fabric of social life and to educate the public towards an intelligent appreciation of the art of dance and theater.
