Cause Description:
Helping Horse is a non-profit, wholly volunteer-run organization offering therapeutic horse back rising instruction to riders with special needs. Helping Horse, an affiliate of NARHA, offers instruction 4 days a week with 2 lessons each day. Helping Horse is also the training facility fr Wake County's equestrian team. With the generous and committed support of the community (nominal lease on 13 acre farm, donated horses and equipment), Helping Horse has serviced as the area's premier therapeutic riding program for the past 12 years. The program is currently in need of financial support to re-roof the barn, construct a second riding arena, and rejuvenate our main pasture (e.g., terracing, dividing, re-seeding).
