Cause Description:
C.V.S.A. has been providing services to survivors of sexual assault since 1974, and to survivors of other violent crime since 1997. Our staff provides survivors with short and long term counseling, support groups, advocacy, accompaniment to hospital and law enforcement,information, and referrals. Other services provided by C.V.S.A. include our 24-Hour Rape Crisis Hotline, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, and our comprehensive educational programming, which focuses upon issues surrounding sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence.
