The Foundation for Ashley’s Dream has a clear cut mission: We will aggressively gather and focus resources on reducing the threat of drunken drivers every day until it is gone. The Foundation was started in 1997 after Ashley Marie Easterbrook, a Troy, Michigan, high school student, was killed by a drunk driver five days prior to her graduation. Ashley eerily expressed her fear of drunk drivers in a diary entry just prior to being killed by one. Her parents discovered the diary and read of Ashley’s dream that “all her loved ones would be safe from drunken drivers.” During your lifetime there is more than a 60% chance that you will be a victim of drunk driving
