Farm Sanctuary is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending the abuse and neglect of farm animals, who are victims of the "food animal" industry. Farm Sanctuary rescues "downed" animals (animals who are unable to walk because they are injured or dying) and abandoned animals from slaughterhouses and factory farms. Farm Santuary has two national shelters, where the animals are rehabilitated and allowed to live out their natural lives.
