Children's Academies is a non-profit org. dedicated to establishing a national network of public residential schools. CAA schools serve students who seek to escape the distractions that plague many neighborhoods and schools, such as violence and substance abuse. CAA schools admit students early in their tranisiton to adulthood and provide them with skills and knowledge to take advantage of the greatest number of possible options for the future. Students at CAA schools enjoy an extended school day and school year, as well as a comprehensive residential program that draws upon the strengths and diversity of the student body and involves families and the local community to the greatest extent possible.
