LIGA FLYING DOCTORS OF Mercy’s mission is to provide free medical, dental, hearing ,eye care and health education to the medically underserved in rural areas of Mexico. LIGA also provides specialty medical assistance in certain situations to augment local services. Volunteers treat people who have little or no access to medical care. LIGA provides joint medical experiences for Mexican and U. S. physicians and their support staff. In a spirit of friendship, LIGA strives to provide liaison between the United States and Mexico on medical matters, to alleviate human suffering and to improve the quality of life of the people served.
