Cause Description:
Homeless Housing: Transitional Housing Program (InnBetween) provides a home, utilities and support services for up to 2 years for homeless families with children seeking self-sufficiency. The French Quarter with 10 two-bedroom apartments provides permanent housing for the homeless. Magnolia Acres, currently under construction, will provide 39 studio apartments for the disable that are experiencing chronic homelessness. Up to 30% of these will be military veterans. Technology Recycling: The Computer Refurbishing and Technical Assistance Center (www.cr-ta.org), a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, provides refurbished computers to area human service agencies and their clients at no cost. CR-TA is a service learning partner with Florida State University. In-Kind Merchandise: The CR-TA Merchandise Center (www.lssnf.org/store) provides access to free in-kind merchandise from The National Association for the Exchange of Industrial Resources (NAIER) for area human service agencies and their clients. Emergency Childcare Assistance: Project Day Care provides emergency assistance with day care expenses for families facing an employment, housing or health related emergency.
