Triangle Community Works (TCW) is a coalition of organizations, individuals, and projects serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied communities in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. TCW is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and has been in operation since 1994. MISSION STATEMENT: To establish and maintain, in the Research Triangle Area, a coalition of individuals, organizations, programs, and projects working to make our environment a safe, healthy, and life-affirming place for members of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities and their allies. GOALS: 1.) To develop a network of educational, medical, social, support, and emergency services that will enhance the quality of life of each member of our communities. 2.) To develop methods to encourage understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities in the community at-large. 3.) To secure and manager a physical structure to support the activities of the organization that will provide space for meetings, office, and social areas to assure the maximizing of scarce resources and to facilitate safe community interactions.
