AWL is an intergrated outdoor education/recreation organization that provides hands-on learning experiences to participants with and with out disabilities. Activities include: snowshoeing, nordic skiing, backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, canoeing, sea-kayaking, leadership development, environmental awareness, and rafting. AWL helps participants translate success in the outdoors to challenges they face in their daily lives. Through experiential based adventure programs, participants gain confidence, problem-solving skills and cooperative skills that can be transferred to daily living.
