Cause Description:
The mission of The Snug Foundation is to encourage and promote creative solutions to firearm violence through focusing public dialogue on a vision of non-violence common to all stakeholders in the issue of firearms ownership. The Foundation sponsors programs that involve the arts as ‘pART of the Solution’. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in April 1999. The Foundation purchases and receives donations of firearms, dismantles them, and recruits artists & craftspeople to create works of art from the components. Retired guns become art; a symbol for the promotion of the creative spirit to address our culture’s problem of violence involving firearms.
