Cause Description:
Make*A*Circus Mission Statement To bring joy and enrichment into the lives of children from all cultures and backgrounds by introducing them to the performing arts and allowing them to participate in circus theater. Our circus workshops and performances encourage the development of self esteem, provides a positive message that can impact children’s lives, serves as a catalyst for community activities, and are a lot of fun for children of all ages. Make*A*Circus is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and enhancing their sense of self-worth by engaging them in participatory circus theater. There are three main programs: Circus Days (during the summer); Teen Apprentice (3 sessions during the school year, directed toward at-risk inner city youth); Clown Therapy for institutionalized special needs children(year round). MAC has been in existence for 25 years.
