Cause Description:
The Parthenon Patrons Foundation is the non-profit support alliance serving the community through stewardship and promotion of the Parthenon r3eplica in Nashville, Tennessee. Our members’ donations have funded the realization of the statue of the goddess Athena, as well as our ongoing art exhibitions, upkeep of our permanent Cowan Art Collection, our monthly lecture series, an interactive web-site with downloadable study guides (www.parthenon.org), and museum brochures in French, German, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Greek and Braille. The Parthenon Patrons also funds specific programming, such as the education activities for exhibits, special tours for the visually and hearing impaired, a simulated Archaeology dig to compliment the exhibit Silijammasa Caravan (for which we received TAM’s 1999 Award of Excellence).We have made a commitment to introduce something new every ninety days, from changing art exhibits to stimulating mythology storytelling.
